Chabad does a lot right. But what is left out is the their vision of the participation of women. They would have you believe that what they teach concerning women is couched in law. But the truth is that most the ways they limit women’s participation is based on tradition. Tradition changes over time. It always has. Those who learn from Chabad don’t understand the difference btw. law v. custom. Chabad only teaches one perspective. End result: 19th century view of women.

Hi Juditka, not sure which Chabad you’re studying with but here in Cape Town the perspective on women and feminity is some of the most empowering ideas that reveal how forward thinking and contemporary Torah really is
